Why Now?
We continue to explore non-traditional alternatives to raise funds, because duh, we’re Cabbagetown, we’re scrappy!! Although Chomp & Stomp does provide a lot of the funds that go to the maintenance of the two parks it does not add additional budget for improvements and beautification which we hope this should secure. Chomp & Stomp turnout is also very dependant on weather and some recent pandemics which left us in a hole with over a $100,000.00 tab (nope, those zeros weren’t a typo).
Cabbagetowners are scrappy, creative and resourceful, we have the originality, time and incentive to find new solutions. .
Friends of Cabbagetown Conservancy works on a subscription model for sustainable revenue stream. Let’s work together to maintain and enhance Cabbagetown Park, Esther Peachy Lefevre Park, Cabbagetown 3 Points Park, the Wylie CSX Wall and the Cabbagetown Community Center. Friends of Cabbagetown Conservancy is an initiative of The Cabbagetown Initiative Community Development Corporation (CICDC), a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation.
It isn’t just be the pride you feel in your heart, or the braggin’ rights for snagging one of the Limited Edition Prints, but the opportunity to be part of the lasting legacy of Cabbagetown and the parks that make this one of Atlanta’s most desirable and unique neighborhoods.
