New Police Community Officer

There will be a new 'Community Service Officer' or 'Crime Prevention Inspector' handling our area --- Welcome back Ms. Ruby Nayler!

There will be a new 'Community Service Officer' or  'Crime Prevention Inspector' handling Our area --- for those not sure what I'm talking about, I'll try to briefly explain.
The CPI  (CSO) duties is more or less to help communities figure ways of
preventing and detering crime and other issues - they try to work with all
of the Community groups/organizations, Public Safety groups/committees,
Businesses, idivduals etc.etc..etc.. toward the reduction of crime and
criminal activity. That does  not actually cover everyhing that The CPI
does, but briefly that's kinda what they do.

Now - WE have had a CPI/CPO handling  our area (not just 'OUR' area, but
rather a sector/section of zone 6 in which cabbagetown resides) for MANY
years -- WHen I first was 'voluteered' into the Public Safety Chair position
about 8yrs ago, I worked with Ms. Ruby Nayler towards Crime Reduction and
Crime prevention - she used to attend every neighborhood meeting [[to give
her fair credit, she actually work with ALL of zone 6's Communities and
Businesses, by herself, for many years]] and actually payed attention to
what was going on and listened to what residents had to say -- However a few
years ago, an Aditional CPI was brought in to help out and take
some of the work load from Ms.Nayler - short of it, Ms.Nayler was assigned
to handle a different Sector of zone 6. Now we have a New CPI/CSO Handling our area.
AND I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT IT WILL BE, at least for the moment, Ms. RUBY NAYLER.

I cannot speak Highly enough of Ms. Nayler, and How much she has help
Cabbagetown [and other communities] in the past.  I hope that the Neighborhood will form a GOOD working relationship with her [ and or any other CPI/CSO that may be assigned to handle this sector].
