News: The City of Atlanta 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan
The City of Atlanta is in the midst of defining their 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan; this plan guides the development of the city with guiding input from each neighborhood, featuring master plans for local parks and areas. At June’s CNIA Meeting, John Dirga reviewed a few notes from the first round of meetings to define the 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan and what it could mean for Cabbagetown, including the definition of master plans for our own parks.
The second round of meetings to define the plan will begin soon. The City of Atlanta encourages all residents to attend these informational meetings, and leadership from CNIA/CI are excited to include updated plans for the future of our Parks as well as to coordinate ongoing development goals with the Office of Planning throughout this process. If you’d like to learn more about the 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan, here are a few of the resources that were mentioned in June’s meeting:
